HASTAC 2013 will bring together 5 keynote speakers, 150 refereed papers, panels and demos, a maker space, curated digital performances and over 200 attendees including established and emerging scholars, artists and authors, tech entrepreneurs and teachers, to explore alternative modes of creating, innovating, and critiquing that better address the interconnected, diverse, interactive global nature of knowledge today, both in the academy and beyond. On Sunday April 28, Matt Soar, Concordia University; Mél Hogan, University of Colorado – Boulder; Florian Thalhofer, Korsakow Institut, Berlin; and Midi Onodera, independent artist; will be presenting on “The Korsakow System: Database Filmmaking for the Web”. Midi will be showing her work-in-progress on the war in Afghanistan.
