This year’s Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) runs from September 10 – 19. Broadcast daily, these 1 minute, urban-themed, silent shorts play on a network of 270 TTC subway platform screens in 50 subway stations across Toronto. Each year, at the same time as TIFF, TUFF screens the best films from hundreds of local and international submissions.
In addition to screening every 10 minutes across the network, there are now screens in select downtown stations which air uninterrupted TUFF content all day long for the entire run of the festival. Finalists are then featured on the TUFF website, where viewing and voting takes place during the festival. So whether you’re in the streets or at home, check out these works and vote!
